The Korean Language Institute was established in 1959. Around 63,000 students from 125 countries have graduated from the KLI in the past 48 years. Also, the KLI offers courses in the Korean language as well as courses in Korean culture and history to foreign students and scholarship students from the KF, KOICA and other Korean government scholarship programs.
The KLI offers an online Korean language program for those who prefer to learn Korean via internet. This program features an innovative website/application that allows students to interact to btetter learn basic principles in Korean: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
This program analyzes the student's Korean ability and places them accordingly within the KLI curriculum. The KLI condensed the KLI Regular program for one and a half years into a 6 levels for 6 months.
