Double & Final Consonants

About Hangul

Interpretation
Next we're going to learn about final consonants, '받침 (bachim)'.
Any consonant can be a final consonant, but only seven sounds;ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, ㄹ, ㅁ, ㅂ,ㅇ [ k, n, t, I, m, p, n ] can be heard from the end of the syllable. That means other consonants in the final position of syllables change to be pronounced as one of those seven sounds.
And there are some letters we can’t understand the meaning when just hearing their pronunciation. In this case we have to check the spelling. Then listen to these kinds of the words one by one.
